Jay Abraham's Secret to Great Copy

We all know how powerful good copywriting can be, we also know how difficult it can be to generate exactly the response we want from our audience in spite of all our theoretical learning and application of AIDA principles.

In the following video, Jay Abraham outlines one of his deep secrets on how to master the most mindfelt copy by tapping into the emotions on Amazon.com

Applying the Strategy of Pre-Eminence to Copywriting

Time 10:00 mins

Summary

  1. Go to Amazon.com
  2. Enter in general keywords relating to your product
  3. Look at the headlines and subheadlines of the top 100 books
  4. Check out the reviews for the top 10 books
  5. Make two lists: one for good reviews [4 and 5 star] and one for poor reviews [1 and 2 star].
  6. From the good list, compile the key phrases expressed as those being important to the reader, and of course what your product offers
  7. From the bad list, compile a key phrase list of what you promise to avoid in your product or service

Amazon provides valuable insight into the mindset of the public on very definitive subject areas, and all there for you to tap into. So get tapping!
